The wedding was GREAT! But like every other day it was not perfect. Enjoy my reviews and pictures of our special day.
Important things first, vender reviews.
VERA'S HOUSE OF BRIDAL, MADISON, WISCONSIN: A, My dress was BEAUTIFUL! It was everything i hoped for and more. The service was awesome! Shipping wasn't bad, either. In fact it came in a little early. My only complaint would be it was very hot in the shop, so beware.
TIFFENY MANSON WITH ARTISTIC IMAGING: C, Tiffeny did a great job on our wedding day! Engagement pictures were a little rocky. First time we tried to take them she forgot we were scheduled that day. When we finally got to take them the session went okay. It was about half and half on pictures we liked and didnt like. Next, I did a boudoir session with her. Again about half and half on the pics of the ones we liked and didn't. At the end of the shoot we went to this old barn, that part was by far the best! And the pictures from that barn turned our awesome too! Wedding day went well. The pictures turned out about half and half again, not to happy about that one. Thank god my friend's mom was there. She got better shots than tiffeny. I really wanted a photojournalistic style and Tiffeny said she could do that but the pictures turned out looking like every other wedding she had done, litterally. If your wedding pictures are important to you I would not suggest going with Tiffeny.
Kistner's Flower and Greenhouse: B, Their customer service was great! Bronwyn was very nice and helpful. Everything but my bouquets turned out the way I wanted them too. My only issue with the bouquets is they weren't quiet as full as I would have liked them to be.
This is what the bouquets looked like.
This is what I wanted them to look like. Of course, the colors were right, just the fullness was a little weak.
Carrieoke Productions: A++++, Carrie was AWESOME! Even though the air conditioning didn't work at the reception hall and it was like 90 degrees, she still managed to keep everyone inside dancing and enjoying the party. If you want to have a rockin' reception book her! And she is resonably priced too! You can visit her website at www.carrieoke.com.
Riley's Conference Center: C, This is where the day went wrong, I guess you could say. First of all, they didn't lock in all prices until the week of our event. Second, they put us in the wrong ball room. This was a major thing for me. Every time we met, I confirmed which room we had and every time we had the correct room. But on the day of we were a different one. The kicker, we got moved because a group wanted to play bunko...didn't know bunko was a bigger money maker than my reception. Third, the air conditioning was not on. In May, in Kansas it needs to be on. And of course the staff said they could not turn it on because the controls were not in that building. They said they tried to call the emergency number to get it turned on but, of course, they wouldn't let any of us call. Oh well. Besides those three things, they weren't bad. The food was awesome! I wish we had them make us a doggy bag for the next morning. The bar staff was great too!
Main Post Chapel: B, Our Chaplain was awesome! He kept everything short, sweet and to the point. Just the way we wanted it. My only issues here, again, is no ac. It went out the thursday before our event. Downstairs was atleast cool because there was window units down there.
Celebrations of the Heart: A+, I got my shoes from them. They did a great job matching the color of blue that I brought in. Their customer service is 110% better than any other bridal shop. I went in there one time to look at shoe, not even purchase, and every time I went back after they knew my first name, who I was, and what I was looking for, wedding stuff not prom. Never had to wait in there ever! I would totally recommend them.
Shear Dynamics: B, The customer service is great! I love going in there. My mani and pedi were great. My hair turned out okay. Not totally the way I wanted it but I didn't hate it. Did not like my make-up at all. It just was not what I pictured at all.
Wal-Mart: A, They did my cake. It turned out so much better than what I had expected from wal-mart. My only issue is that not everyone in the bakery department knows what they are doing or what kind of cakes they bake, but it's wal-mart, what can you expect? lol
Enjoy the rest of the pics of the day. If you have any questions about any of the venders I used please email me at kravitzphotography@hotmail.com put knottie in the subject so I know it's not spam.
